Great “Weaknesses” During a Job Interview
There are some questions that always seem to pop up during a job interview, such as what you did in your last job and what your strengths are. Most people don’t know what to say when an employer asks about your weaknesses. You don’t want to say anything that would hurt your chances of getting the job, come across as arrogant, or lie to a potential employer. It’s difficult to know what to say.
Types of Acceptable Weaknesses
If you’re not sure what weaknesses you should say, here’s a list of examples that might work.
- Punctuality – you often arrive too early.
- Shyness – sometimes you take time to get comfortable in new environments.
- Ask too many questions – you like to ask questions in advance to make sure you understand what’s being asked of you.
Just make sure to explain whatever you say. You’ll see here that we’ve positioned each answer to be truthful, but a two word answer won’t help you any. If you have any questions about the job search or weaknesses, email us at info@moderntailoredresumes.com.
